Founder & Chairman
Peter is the founder and CEO of Simplexity Partners and a serial entrepreneur and proven investor in early-stage businesses.
He founded and ran Baluba in 1989, which grew into the largest independent TV Production Company in the region before Settman sold it in 2009 to Nordic Entertainment Group. Peter stayed on as Creative Director, whilst also founding Simplexity Partners with a focus on active ownership in start-ups with talented and driven entrepreneurs.
In 2014 he started Brain Academy Inc. an industry leading production company for international scripted content with operations in Stockholm, London and Los Angeles.
In 2018 Peter was part of the founding team of American Song Contest Inc. which owns the license rights to the Eurovision format, bringing one the world’s largest TV shows to USA.
Peter is a Chairman or Board Member in several companies linked to Simplexity Partners driving business excellence across several sectors and continents.
CEO & Co-Founder
Staffan is an experienced leader and serial entrepreneur. He has held CEO and key management positions within media, tech, online retail and the game production industry. He also has more than 6 years of first hand experience from raising capital within the Scandinavian VC eco system. 1998-2012 Staffan held several senior positions in media and online gaming before assuming the role as Swedish CEO at the online fashion retailer Miinto Group.
In 2014 Staffan founded the media-tech company Sportway, which is Scandinavias leading AI-based live-tv production operator. As the main founder and CEO during its three virgin years, Staffan successfully funded and operated the company enabling it to reach its current dominance in core sports streaming production. He remains on its board and as a shareholder as Sportway expands internationally and broadens productions.
2017-2021 Staffan served as CEO of music tech company - Elias Adaptive Music. Staffan has led the company through a successful product development phase and was leading its capital raise process, in total +50 MSEK.
Between 2018-2020 Staffan was a board member of the public company Enlabs - a dominating gaming operator with a current market cap of +3 BnSEK.
Staffan has studied Business Administration and Media- and Communication Science at Uppsala University and Mid Sweden University.
Chief Investment Officer & Co-Founder
Markus is Chief Investment Officer and Partner of Simplexity Partners with a wealth of knowledge in investing in private & public markets and equity research, as well as leading high performance teams in competitive environments.
In 2015-2020 Markus was a partner and critical in the launch of Bodenholm Capital (BHC), one of the largest hedge fund launches globally in 2015, which took AUM to >$1.2bn after winning numerous Global and European awards. At BHC he was lead on TMT, Consumer and Special Sits and incremental in driving performance through engagement with C-suite mgmt. teams, deep due diligence and resourcefulness.
Prior he spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs in London driving coverage of European Internet as lead analyst on online classifieds & ecommerce, before that covering consumer, conglomerates, holding companies and tech hardware.
Markus has a Master of Finance degree from UTS, Sydney in 2004 and an MSc in Business Administration from Uppsala University in 2001. Markus is a trained sniper and 2nd lieutenant from the Swedish Army Rangers
Chief Operating Officer
Pia Lundgren has management experience from both national and international organizations and projects within Media, Foodservice, Non-profit and NGO’s. She has held several key management positions focusing on projects, communication, team and organizational development.
Her areas of expertise include; business development, strategy, marketing & sales, process project and change management. Pia holds an IPMA Project certification and an IPMA Agile Leader certification and is also a certified Coach and Accredited Project Excellence Assessor. She has more than 7 years of experience from coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs and managers from different industries as well as making assessments of projects, programs and portfolios. Pia has a University Degree of Business Administration and Media and Communication Science at Uppsala University and Umeå University.
Pia is a passionate team-player and has an agile mindset as default. She is steadfast in her conviction that the speed and complexity in our businesses today needs flexibility and even more so focus on value and people. She also employs good governance to elevate the company or project and bring it to the next level. We could not be more excited about this addition to our team.
Nadja graduated from The University of Gothenburg, School of Business, Economics and Law with a degree in Business & Administration. She has previously worked as a Corporate Financial Advisor at a major Nordic bank.
Nadja joined the Simplexity Partners team as an Executive Assistant in 2021. She brings over 8 years of administrative and financial experience to the table. She is in charge of planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day business operations and more.
